Just How Many Instruments Do You Play? He’s an accomplished multi-instrumentalist on piano, saxophones, flute & piccolo, drums, bass and guitar. “Music is my life,” says the 19-year-old.
Not Far From The Tree: Jason likes jazz, especially Latin jazz, the best. He’s inspired by saxophonists Charlie Parker, Kenny Garrett and Bill Evans and classical French flautist Jean-Pierre Rompal. Who does he dream of playing with? Cuban band Irakere.

A Day In The Life: Joined Mazatlan Youth Symphony at age 13, playing flute and piccolo. Nowadays, he’s both a student and a teacher (flute) at the Maestro Cruz Lizarraga Superior School of Music, and is still in the Symphony, plus he plays in several jazz bands and Banda Symphonica.
The Future: Two more years of music school till he gets his degree. After that, maybe back to California to write music for films.
