Dramatically different realities of fire and earth

astrology

With Saturn moved into Libra (until Oct. 5, 2012), we must learn to cooperate, and be fair and reasonable, especially with those we don’t like. We’re asked to see the greater good - Libra is always the place of choice, an interlude, so choice can be made between the old and the new. It’s a challenge and at times difficult. Librans understand this difficulty.

The outer planets, the “movers & shakers” astrologically, have entered cardinal signs, eliminating what’s no longer useful, forging forward to create new realities. They initiate. This is how evolution occurs. These planets affect the US chart, specifically the US economy, transforming the government, leaders, the entire civilization, money, sex and law. Interesting times ahead. Revolutions should follow.

While in Libra, Saturn restructures our relationship to each other, allows us to see the essential needs of a partner and how to make the relationship last forever.

Leo is the lion of the zodiac, a fiery dramatic being of great love and creativity, always creating in order to build knowledge of self, leaving the teeming waters of mass consciousness in order to enter into a divine individuality. A seeking of self-awareness, the need for praise and recognition in order to evolve, individuality and creativity: these describe the true Leo personality (in the making).

During the month of Leo, not only are we all Leos, but love flows into the Earth unimpeded, providing us with a great opportunity to radiate Goodwill, the primary component needed for peace on Earth.

After Leo’s flamboyant and dramatic reality, Virgo appears. From Leo’s fire we enter into practical earth. Often shyer than we think, determined to be orderly and systematic, a thinker and analyzer, Virgo is “pregnant” with new states of consciousness always developing within. During the month of Virgo, we’re all Virgos. The two signs are dramatically different, have two entirely different tasks to perform, and while one talks incessantly (Virgo, in order to organize her thinking), the other longs to be famous (on some level, somewhere, sometime in someone’s mind). During Virgo we watch for news concerning food, health, service and small animals in the media and on our minds.

ARIES (Mar. 21-Apr. 20) In the next several years, how you participate in relationships will change. You may clash with those close to you, or you’ll need deeper understanding with intimates. You’ll separate or marry, find a partner or feel solitary while learning about commitment, compromise and everything concerning I/Thou. Truth will hold you.

TAURUS (Apr. 21-May 20) Has something changed with that romantic relationship? Perhaps you’ve defined more clearly how you want to live your life. There’s more responsibility with work - overwhelming at times, for you’re working alone. Then there’s everything not tended to from the past four years, waiting. A huge cleaning is being called for. Health-wise, too. You must take care.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20) A great gift unfolds, and you’ll know what motivates, encourages and provides you with confidence. You’ll begin to express yourself creatively. This entertains you while providing knowledge of your purpose, identity, gifts and why you’re different

CANCER (June 21-July 20) Your home. It’s changing or going to change or you’re going to move or add to it or abandon it or house family or…Whatever it is, home is your foundation, identity and roots. It’s where you came from with all past attachments you dearly love. Reorganization must begin internally and externally. Family responsibilities increase. You may not feel brave. But you’re constant, steady and stable. The family’s grateful.

LEO (July 21-Aug. 20) You and others seek to understand how well you communicate, gather, disseminate information, what your mental skills are, what you know and what you don’t. You feel somber and at times worried about time and the effectiveness of your efforts. Eliminate what’s unnecessary, organize and become more efficient and realistic.

VIRGO (Aug. 21-Sept. 20) Assess your feelings of self-worth; how valuable are you? Seeking to know this from the outer world doesn’t produce an adequate evaluation. You may feel unsupported at times, for you work very hard at everything. You’re challenged to create a new sense of self-confidence and worthiness. Where is your solid financial grounding? Is it secure? Where is your garden?

LIBRA (Sept. 21-Oct. 20) How others “see” you, how you think you appear, the thought of aging - these serious thoughts (and more) will be pondered in the coming two years. A stronger sense of self emerges with greater self-confidence. Inner strength develops and illusions cease, especially about you and family. Anything superficial disturbs and distresses you. A new foundation forms concerning future work.

SCORPIO (Oct. 21-Nov. 20) The contemplative life becomes a goal as you assess your past, who you are, all that you’ve accomplished (or haven’t) and all you hope to do. A cycle comes to a close. A new cycle of life begins. Everything behind the scenes begins to clear up so the new life has no dark mysteries, no past that needs completion. You’re grateful for this.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 21-Dec. 20) You’ve been so responsible to the outer world, developing your social and professional standing. Now you scrutinize personal goals, aspirations and ask who are your friends, groups and peers. Anything superficial will be eliminated (slowly). The casual will not be worthy of your time. Saying the “right thing” no longer occurs to you. You seek serious friendships and affiliations and learn what truly contributes to your happiness and joy.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21-Jan. 20) You’re the leaders of the zodiac. You find solid shoes, build the ladder, climb it and from there create the needed civilization. Then you go into self-evaluation and find yourself lacking. This is normal. However, your conclusions are often incorrect. Self-evaluation is good, but know that, should you fall, there’s a stylish cushion below to contain you.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21-Feb. 20) What do you believe in - what are your goals? What future are you hoping for? What drives you, what do you want to learn and what don’t you know? Does what you presently do reflect your personal philosophy of life? Do you have a philosophy of life? If yes, what is it? If no, then how do you go about your day-to-day, with what underlying faith, hope and/or vision?

PISCES (Feb. 21-Mar. 20) Outer world pressures, perhaps great lacks of something, turn you inward to encounter your desires, aspiration, attachments. How you controlled your life and environment is no longer available or effective. There’s confusion, then adaptability that’s not comfortable. There’s a need for emotional freedom. A struggle emerges. You labor toward liberation. Have faith. Or hope. Or at least, an espresso.
