The charming Museo Casa de los Perez Meza is devoted to the history of the famous trovador and composer Luis Perez Meza. Elisa, his daughter, has created this space to honor her father and his music. Luis recorded more than 103 vinyls during his 64 years. As I toured the museum, lights beamed on old posters and different music was playing to complement each era. It’s a small but delightful collection, bursting with family pride to preserve Perez Meza’s memory and all that he contributed to the music of Sinaloa. Afterwards, curl up in a wicker chair in Elisa’s Café and sample a wide variety of coffees and teas. Casa de los Perez Meza, Melchor Ocampo #510, is open 10am to 6pm, Tuesday to Saturday. Info: 669-981-7987.
