4 La Caravana del Circo

Trapeze, acrobatics, hand-balancing and more are all part of the repertoire of this two-woman Brazilian troupe, who incorporate theater, dance and music into each performance too. 8pm. Free. On the big stage in Olas Altas. Info: 982-4444.

5 Baby Turtle Release

Scores of baby turtles will be released on the beach to make their way to the ocean. 5pm on the beach in front of the Hotel Olas Altas Inn along the malecón near Valentino’s.

5-6 Great Pacific Marathon / Fireworks

Ready, set, go! Runners of all ages and abilities compete in this marathon, including wheelchair and blind athletes. Children, women and men – professional and non- race along the malecón starting at the Fisherman’s Monument, into Olas Altas and back again. A fireworks display is 8pm Dec. 5. 7 Lux Boreal

Fresh from a tour to Mexico City and Argentina, this modern dance troupe, composed of dancers and choreographers originally from Mazatlan’s Escuela Profesional de Danza Contemporánea, performs “Colapso Natural.” 8pm. 11 “Cascanueces” (The Nutcracker)

The beloved winter classic, performed by the Municipal School of Classic Ballet, Cuban National Ballet School and Mazatlan Professional School of the Dance. Music by the Sinaloa Symphony Orchestra of the Arts and conducted by Enrique Patron de Rueda. Don’t miss it! 5:30 and 8pm. (Late show uses recorded music.) Tickets at box office: $100-$250. 16 “Concierto Navideno”

The rich tradition of music from colonial times combines native, religious and New World styles. Featuring Sinaloa Children’s Choral Group, Coro Taller de Operade Sinaloa and guest artists Ars Antiqua. Go early to get a seat!.8pm. Free. In the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Centro.

16 Radaid

Fusing a myriad of world-music styles and instruments, from Arabia, India, México, África, China, the U.S., South America, the Balkans and more, Radaid uses music as a unifying language. Free. 8pm on the outdoor stage, Paseo Claussen, Olas Altas.

19 Gala Navidena (Christmas Gala)
