X-Men Origins: Wolverine
(X-Men Origenes: Wolverine)
Rated: PG (Crude Sexual Humor, Brief Nudity and Language)Genre: Comedy
Cast: Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Kitsch, Liev Schreiber
Sci-Fi fans, this one’s for you! X-Men 4 tells the tale of Wolverine. Said to be the best of the series so far, Jackman owns his role as Wolverine and we should expect to see him in nearly every spin-off and sequel in the X-Men saga. We get to see where it all began: why Logan chose to enter the Weapon X program and what happens after he does. Revenge is rife in this journey through most Marvel fan’s favorite character. Expect plenty of fantastic special effects, remarkable explosions, action sequences and an ending that’ll leave you wanting more.
I Love You, Man
Rated: R (Language and Sexual Content)Genre: Comedy/Romance
Cast: Paul Rudd, Rashida Jones, Sarah Burns, Jon Favreau, Andy Samberg, Jane Curtin
If laughs are what you’re after, then ‘I Love You, Man’ is the flick for you. Pete Klaven (Rudd) has just gotten engaged. His lack of male friends makes choosing a Best Man impossible. His mission: to go on ‘man dates’ until he finds himself a best friend. Hilarious! With gag after gag, this comedy is a perfect first date film or great to go to with a group of friends. The script is clever, punchy and reminds us why director/writer John Hamburg (Zoolander, Meet the Parents) keeps us laughing.
Race to Witch Mountain (La Montaña Embrujada)
Rated: PG (Violence and Frightening Scenes)Genre: Action
Cast: Dwayne Johnson, Anna Sophia Robb, Alexander Ludwig, Carla Gugino, Tom Everett Scott
A remake of 1975’s ‘Escape to Witch Mountain,’ ‘Race to Witch Mountain’ gives the original a run for its money. With flashier special effects, heart-pumping action and non-stop thrills, this action adventure is Disney Pictures 2009 family hit movie. Alien kids crash-land in the desert just outside Las Vegas and a Vegas cabbie gets mixed up in helping the two children find their way back to their vessel. Inevitably, the U.S. government has other plans and the race begins to find the vessel and stop an unwanted invasion. Fun for the whole family, so bring the kids.

Twilight (Crepúsculo)
Rated: PG (Some Violence and Some Sexual Content)Genre: Drama/Thriller/Romance
Cast: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Billy Burke, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz
Stephenie Meyer’s novel-turned-box office-hit is predominately about vampires. The first of her many books introduces a love story about two teenagers from two different worlds. If you’ve read the books, you’ll find the film has been adapted quite a bit for a larger audience appeal, but the pretence of the book stays clear. For those who haven’t read it, the film is at times slow and tedious. I’m a bit of a vampire flick fan, so I enjoyed it, but this movie is one that you’ll either hate or love. (I’d love to hear your comments on this film.)
Quantum of Solace (007 Quantum)
Rated: PG (Violence and Some Sexual Content)Genre: Action/Drama
Cast: Daniel Craig, Olga Kurylenko, Mathieu Amalric, Judi Dench, Giancarlo Giannini,
Following ‘Casino Royale,’ ‘Quantum of Solace’ takes us through the mind of Bond after the death of his beloved Vespar. ‘Solace’ is Bond’s darkest chapter yet, with hatred, anger and revenge spilling over into his professional life. Join Bond as he tracks down the sinister group Quantum (possibly the new Spectre) and finds the people responsible for Vespar’s betrayal. Magnificent chases, bare-knuckled fist fights and the return of Daniel Craig as our favorite M16 Agent 007, puts this Bond film in a league of its own.
