Brilliant, mysterious Scorpio

Have the Monarch butterflies returned yet to Mexico after their summer in Canada and the US? Are they nestled for winter’s protection in the oyamel (sacred fir) trees? The butterflies’ return, holding the spirits of departed and loved one, reminds us it’s time for Los Dias de los Muertos (The Days of the Dead) - Halloween, All Saints Day and All Souls Day.

Of the 12 constellations, Scorpio is the largest, containing brilliant stars hidden in the Milky Way. This is the way of Scorpio – hidden, a mystery to most, complex and multi-leveled. At the center of Scorpio is the giant red star Antares. During Greek and Egyptian times, temples were built and oriented around the light of Antares. It’s interesting that the constellation of Scorpio and its stars are best seen in Mexico.

Veiled in mystery and secrecy, Scorpio rules the intimacy and the life functions of sex, death and rebirth - energies of change and transformation (Pluto). Great, vast and deep changes occur during the transitions of birth and death. And, there’s a subtle psychological change that occurs through intimacy (sex) as life forces are exchanged. Eventually, through these energy exchanges (electrical energies of male/female, radiating and receptive), unity (beginning with desire) is achieved on multiple levels. Many times, a new “current” (a child) of energy is created as a result of the interchange of two people’s atomic structure. Notice the depth of reality here: atom-ic. The atom bomb was made from plutonium. The ruler of Scorpio is Pluto.

Often misunderstood, Scorpio is careful of what and to whom they share themselves. Only when Scorpio trusts will they reveal their inner realities, beliefs, understandings and sense of the world. The sign of Scorpio represents a snake or scorpion, potent with an energy coiled to strike (if needed). The snake sheds its skin often, and when it does, it is blinded. This explains the deep sensitivity of Scorpio, a sensitivity little known or understood by others. Every seven years, like the snake shedding its skin, the cells in our bodies are shed and renewed. This is ruled over by Scorpio, sign of the phoenix rising from the fire.

ARIES (Mar. 21-Apr. 20) You’ll progress out into the world of humanity, your skills embraced by all groups. You have the ability to completely transform others. There’s an aura of concern, Right Relations and love that can extend from you. It simply needs your awareness and a context/place wherein you can teach. You’re the leader.

TAURUS (Apr. 21-May 20) As you become sensitive to personal matters of diet and health, you realize you can teach others. This is a great service, for few understand the workings of the body and even fewer how to bring adequate nutrition into daily life. You’re the sign of the illumined mind. What can you illumine others with? How can you better serve first yourself, and then all of humanity, through food?

GEMINI (May 21-June 20) It’s a gift to know how to play, have fun, understand that in life there is pleasure (along with and amidst suffering). It’s a skill to have a hobby and to choose recreation during times of stress. Knowing these things allows you freedom and then, an unusual leadership. Children especially love you when you’re at play, which then also strengthens your heart and affection for everyone. Can you teach playfulness?

CANCER (June 21-July 20) Gardening is an intrinsic skill you possess. You’re the nurturer of new life, of the seeds of creation. In the womb of your awareness, things grow and green, bloom and flower. Tend to all those around you in this way, from young ones to elders. Tend also to your environments, home, family and community. Your gift is foundational to life itself.

LEO (July 21-Aug. 20) Take a walk in your neighborhood, get to know its flora and fauna, the animal and plant kingdoms and your neighbors. Make contact with family, friends and relatives, to study your relationships with them, make amends, send forgiveness, nurture love. This shows others your combined mental and heartfelt capacities to make contacts, which you know always releases Love and wisdom.

VIRGO (Aug. 21-Sept. 20) Your skills of orderliness and organization, of detail and discrimination, are deeply needed by humanity. Many of us were not taught these abilities. The Virgo skills are subtle yet highly effective, giving one a sense of empowerment leading to success in practical realities and daily living abilities. Think on your skills. Radiate them toward humanity. We will then learn from you.

LIBRA (Sept. 21-Oct. 20) Create a new identity, which comes forth when we learn new skills. Being re-skilled is important for you now, creating a powerful and dynamic energy within that can lead others forward into a new way to handle money, the environment, information, and the art of Right Human Relations.

SCORPIO (Oct. 21-Nov. 20) A crossroad appears, with two paths; you conjure yourself walking both, yet realize you must choose one path or the other very soon. Walking the middle path is so you can “see” and understand the polarities of the two paths. Each is an opportunity. Which is best for you to follow? Which has value and leads you to more than a state of happiness (personality)? Which leads you to service and joy (Soul path)?

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 21-Dec. 20) Are you making unusual connections with others? Are you seeking a teacher or guide? Are you asking questions of others, and are you sensing a closeness different than before? All social contacts contain an opportunity for radiating Right Human Relations, creating a magnet in your life. Then, your hopes and wishes begin to come true. Have benevolence as your goal.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21-Jan. 20) The world may be honoring you in some form through how you present yourself, through your work or service or how deeply responsible you are. Should someone begin to stand in your shadow or shift the deserving light away from you, stand in another sunbeam and pay no attention. Show others your compassion and understanding. Nothing you do ever goes unnoticed. Honor elders and your superiors.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21-Feb. 20) Before further retrogrades occur, create long-range plans and agendas, contact future clients, begin the process of approval needed for expansion, make travel arrangements and above all, listen to what others have to say. In all planning do not argue, move slowly, tend to all communications. Then the future flows into the present with speed and harmony.

PISCES (Feb. 21-Mar. 20) Show others you have a great ability with money and resources. You’re often seen as someone unable to tend to practical matters. However, you are very able although your process is skillfully different that most. The important issues facing you now are money, resources, gold and silver, precious metals, banking and all things financial. Some Pisces also may need a new car. Ask for help in all these endeavors. Then others understand your ways.
