With freedom comes responsibility & revolution

The United States will be 234 years old on Sunday, July 4, the numbers adding up to a nine. Nine means endings. Esoterically nine signifies Initiation, a shift to a higher state of consciousness. Endings and Initiations work together. The United States is presently having a transit of Pluto (3 Capricorn) opposite Venus (3 Cancer) indicating economic transformation. Pluto has opposed Venus several times. Thus the US has seen the dollar fluctuating (moving toward hyper-inflation), debt mounting and food prices soaring. Humanity will soon begin defining its true values. This occurs only after revolutionary breakdowns. We’re no longer slouching toward that happening.

Teaching humanity about duality

We’re being influenced by Gemini now, the third sign of the zodiac, the first air sign and very mutable (changeable). Why is Gemini so changeable? Gemini is concerned with, and their task is to teach us, duality. They can also simultaneously be playful as they gather information here, there and everywhere. Humanity experiences Gemini behaviors and characteristics during the month of Gemini each year.

Mercury retrograde in Taurus is the correct time

Until May 11, Mercury (Hermes) is retrograde in Taurus, the sign of enlightenment and the Art of Living. It’s the second (of four) Mercury retrogrades this year, all in earth signs: Capricorn (January), Taurus (April), Virgo (August) and again in December (Capricorn). Mercury retro in Taurus calls us to review our values, money and possessions. What, where and how are they? During Mercury retro all of humanity, events and earth’s kingdoms collectively enter into a state of retreat (except for those born with Mercury retrograde).

Aries, the first sign of spring, holds the force of creation

April is the month and time of Aries, a beam of sunlight or force, a flame of Cosmic Fire. Aries is the individual expressing as an initiating impulse searching for identity and individuality within the masses. Aries is the seed pushing forth the two leaves (they look like ram’s horns), emerging from the earth at the first light of Spring.

Aries is often unconscious about life beyond his own immediate perceptions, and unaware of consequences. With this unawareness Aries judges everything through his own young projections. Aries, the first sign of spring, holds the force of creation. However, his impatience doesn’t allow time to bring the creative force into a practical focus. Thus Aries is often unable to complete tasks and projects. These are handed to Taurus for completion.
